Welcome to the Asheville Area Piano Forum (AAPF) website! As a non-profit 501 © (3) organization in Western North Carolina (WNC), we are committed to providing educational and musical opportunities for pianists, teachers, students, audiences, and lovers of piano music. The AAPF sponsors a Fall Benefit Concert at Diana Wortham Theatre, a Spring Benefit Concert, Student Competitions and Recitals, Practice for Pets, Master Classes, Performance Groups, Roundtable Discussions, and informative programs at our General Meetings. In Fall 2011 we will introduce a new program called Keys for Kidz, fostering group keyboard classes for underserved children. Please visit our Events section for these AAPF Events and solo member performance dates.
Each year the AAPF awards Student Assistance to WNC students facing challenges in paying for piano lessons. By Spring of 2012, the AAPF will have awarded $21,000 in student assistance over the past four years. Ticket sales from our two Benefit Concerts are our primary source of earned income for these funds. You can now buy your tickets to these Benefit Concerts by using the new PayPal button.
